John Sarcone (286-3737, jarcon@attorney.co.polk.ia.us)

John has ties to our Neighborhood, because he went to Dowling High School. He remembered young girl who were afraid of the John’s in the area. He said that our neighborhood should not be subjected to the prostitution, drugs, and johns in here. He questioned whether the Moulton Principal has been to our meetings, and felt that we need to work together to handle some of these problems. We need to talk to Corrections (Sally Kramers.) We also need to talk to the Chief District Judge and Jail Judge about the offenders. He was also surprised that Urban Dreams has been so “helpful” with the prostitutes. They go into the office when the police are around, and to make calls to set up appointments for their “work schedule.”

Teri Gillenwater (286-3059 tgillen@attorney.co.polk.ia.us)

Teri is with Restorative Justice, and runs the VORP program. She wanted to encourage more people to get involved with the VORP sessions. Doloros Thomas, Roger Thompson, Jean Bodenstedt, and Henry Bevel have been very involved in the past.
